Kathy Dulaney
Artist Of The Year

Kathy Dulaney and her 5 siblings have been blessed with natural talents and creative expression. Having been nurtured from an early age by her mother Louise, a painter herself, Kathy was encouraged to express and cultivate her gift.

She and her family moved to Punta Gorda, Florida in 1977 where she discovered a wealth of learning opportunities and dove into any classes or workshops that the area offered. She was a board member and director of exhibits for the Punta Gorda visual arts center. It was there she was mentored by such noted artists as watercolorist Kathy Bostwick and Hershel Polard, an oil painter. Kathy describes this period as the opportunity of a lifetime, setting the foundation for her life as it is today.

Kathy and her husband Pat moved to the Morgan County, McConnelsville area in 2007 where she quickly became involved in the local arts community. After having bought the Hickory Ridge Artisan Barn where she offers many opportunities for artists such as a place of camaraderie, classes and a venue for artist to display their work to the public during special events. She also serves as a board member for the HCC Art Guild and says she is looking forward to being more involved in the community of Morgan County.
